You should try to hold back the flood of impassioned feelings, but it will take extraordinary self-restraint. If you lose control and release pent-up tensions, others can be overwhelmed by your emotional tsunami. "He he.. funny how the google 'horror' scope tells me exactly that I want to hear or rather I should hear. Well, last weekend was 24hr*2 days of sleep and doing nothing. I got done with my written part of the comprehensive. But somehow I do not feel anything. May be as the orals are yet to be done. But my general overview or gut feeling tells me I did well, atleast 80% of the written. I enjoyed answering for Dough, John, Matt, Peter and Juergen as well. Juergen's was the most challenging as it was entirely a test on probability "Markov Chain" Introduced that day itself. I could not answer all the questions though. But the process of learning was good. I enjoyed the insight into Markov and how I can use it for my analysis. It seems my next couple of years (or may be rest of my life, if I choose to lead it in a particular path) will be a complete harmony, love, excitement and challenging journey with Probability. Some thing That I feared the most. Will write about my Fears (an honest confession) later. John's answers were best. Absolute philosophy, followed by Doug. Peter and Matt were more applied but still fun. States and Transitional Model, the crux (hollcrux) of my thesis. So loved writing about it. I think I will post some of my answers here.. but shall wait the oral to get over. Have 3 more days, for it go. Then starts my most intensive, and rigorous sail to the shores of PhD Hood :) I already feel that I want to do nothing but just work, Will take it slow for now and wait for the Orals to be done..
