Last night I went to meet Rahel, Mical's sister who is here for her wedding on 1st August. We have spoken a couple of times but we met finally yesterday.
Anyway so back to what I wanted to write..
I had my early dinner on returning from gym and decided to drop into their place on my way to school. They were cooking dinner for Daniel's family who were arriving at mid night. I had salad for dinner and some bread rolls. ISo, it was quite difficult to resist the traditional Erythrian food they were cooking - Red, Green, White colored gravy with meat and vegetables...
" SLURP SLURP.... "
Mical and Rahel asked me to come back for dinner but at time I was too full and politely denied the offer. I had to came back to school and finish few things. So anyway I got back in time for work. Little did I know that a devil had tagged along with me from there house!
Yah, right about an hour from their house the aroma of Erythrian food secrelty rose from my fleece and made way into my salivary gland through my nostrils and my mouth was watering for food. I had snap shots the red and whitish green curry with carrots and potatoes floating in it, calling for me - Tanu, come come, eat us !!!!
JEZZzz, never had I felt so greedy! The salad had digested long before. May be right at their place. And I was hungry as if I had not eaten for days.
After that whatever I did was in response to satisfy my tounge and those freaking glands. They just went bonkers. Even before I realised, I was at the drive-in of CARL's Junior ordering for Spicy Chicken Sandwitch and French Fries!
And before I came back to school for work, the packet was empty!
Right then I knew, the next morning (today) is going to be lazy, slow, and bad. And I am going to feel terrible for eating so late.
And I was right. But the damage was already done. I came home in 30mins to sleep early to digest the late night double dinner of unhealthy food !!!
And now at noon, am blogging about it!!!
GLUTTON! Curious case of Tanu Glutton and the Fleece!
Moral of the story, never wear a fleece to a place where people are cooking delicious food. It can be physically damaging and quite challenging to resist!
